john and sherlock in a cab on the way back from a long case outside of london and sherlock is back to having human needs, so 5 mins into the journey john feels sherlock slump against him and he contemplates moving him to lean on the window where sherlock won’t crick his neck until he hears sherlock snuffling soft snores into the shoulder of his jacket.so instead he just huffs a breath through his nose and smiles and tucks himself lower so sherlock’s neck is in a more comfortable position. and so sherlock sleepily rearranges himself to drape an arm around john’s middle with a hand on his chest and a handful of shirt + cardigan and half a leg over john’s lap and presses his face into john’s neck and continues his muffled gentle snoring, sending breaths of hot air down john’s shirt. and john presses his nose into sherlock’s hair and presses a kiss to his temple, wraps an arm around sherlock’s shoulder and places the other hand on the one sherlock has on his chest and falls asleep for the long cab ride back to baker street
